Near Stoic is the solo project of Skander Ben Yahia, a sound artist from Tunis, now based in Paris. Breaking free from genre constraints and more articulate through melodies than words to express himself, Near Stoic focuses on expressing emotions through music. His work spans music production, live performances, and DJ sets. He also hosts Heartstings, a monthly radio show on Radio Flouka.

"Heartstrings" explores how music becomes an emotional language—a bridge between sound and feeling. Each episode is a journey into the invisible threads that connect melodies to our deepest emotions, revealing how a single note can transcend the human experience of life. The two-hour show is divided into two distinct acts that capture the essence of musical storytelling. The first hour is hosted by Near Stoic, and in the second hour, a guest artist takes the helm.

The format of "Heartstrings" defies traditional radio conventions. Each episode is a unique sonic landscape, constantly reinventing itself. One episode might feature a meticulously crafted playlist. Another might present an immersive sound collage. Occasional live performances bring raw, unfiltered musical expressions. "Heartstrings" isn't about playing music. It's about listening—truly listening. Not just with ears, but with memory, with empathy, with the entirety of human experience. Each episode is an invitation: to feel deeply, to remember, to connect.
