As the gap between the duality of aesthetics & functionality grows ever larger in a genre as perpetually evolving as electronic music, Gusik strives to remain within the gray area right in between.
Russian-born, Tunisia based Tima Savchenko is a musician first & foremost, having previously worked with or been part of diverse shoegaze and indie rock acts before even beginning to flirt with the idea of electronic music. It is its no-restraints nature and its forward-thinking characteristics that pushed Tima to DJ and produce as a member of now two defunct duo projects. These various experiences put him on the map and undoubtedly helped his growth as an artist, enough to emerge with a thought-provoking and individualistic artistic vision.
It is with the dawn of this new decade that Tima went solo as Gusik. Be it through his carefully curated DJ performances or his original material, he embraces modernity, channels the age of tomorrow and aims to disrupt the prevailing inhibition of emotional sincerity.
