Training in the keys from the age of nine, Carissa always had an ear for music. Her progression to the turntable came from her unbridled passion for the art. Trained under DJ and producer Stalvart John, the Bengaluru-based DJ's music ranges from disco, house to deep house, drawing inspiration from Natasha Kitty Kat, Kerri Chandler, Folamour, Apparel Wax and Mark Knight to name a few. The distinct groove and spirited sound Carissa brings to the dance floor has given her the opportunity to open for artists such as Maribou State, Eliphino, Sally C and CC:Disco. She made her festival debut at the first edition of Far Out Left, Bangalore and has gone onto play the very coveted Magnetic Fields Festival’s Nomads as well as becoming Dynamite Disco Club’s resident DJ.
