December’s “Hekayat w Mazzika” episode focuses on underground music from Egypt. Wanting to go into the matter in depth with the perspective of an actors from the scene, I invited the great A7ba L Jelly, a dj and event curator based in Cairo. She went from what the early 2000s scene sounded like, its specifity at this time, to its current state with the impact of social media and globalization.

The talk is followed with an amazing mix by A7ba, highlighting the richness to this scene throughout time.
