For the month of May, I'm taking you on a trip through to the upper part of the African continent. We will be going from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Coast, crossing the Sahara to reach the Sahel and we will travel from West to East until we get to Abyssinia.
In this episode, you will hear sounds from Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Marocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger and Chad.
I also wanted to pay tribute and express my solidarity with people from Sudan and Ethiopia who are facing strong violence in both of their countries. The last two tracks are from these two respective countries I mentionned.
